I was so excited when Alexa and Arjun approached me to assist them with their wedding! I already knew Alexa (we worked out at the same gym) so having the opportunity to be part of such an important time in hers and Arjun’s life was really special to me. I ask every client during our initial meeting what is the most important element of their wedding is to them. Alexa and Arjun quickly answered that it was their wedding ceremony as well as finding way to incorporate both of their cultures into the day (Alexa is American and Arjun is from India). I am used to hearing answers such as “the flowers” or “the food” so this really struck me.
Alexa and Arjun (along with the assistance of their amazing officiant, Alan Dicken) spent a lot of planning time figuring how they wanted their ceremony to flow to include both cultures and families. The end result was beautiful and exactly what the couple had envisioned. We also hired a Mehndi artist to provide Mehndi to guests during cocktail hour!
The day started out with the girls getting ready at The Renaissance Hotel in Downtown Cincinnati and the guys at the apartment that Alexa and Arjun share in Oakley.
Alexa and Arjun shared their first look together in downtown Cincinnati (how sweet is Arjun’s reaction??)
The couple’s ceremony and reception took place across the river in Bellevue, KY at the New Riff Distillery.
Alexa and Arjun shared a special first dance, played by Queen City Quartet and a Tabla player, Jim Weist.
Thank you, Alexa & Arjun, for allowing me to be part of this special time in your lives! I hope you are having a blast on your Indian honeymoon!
